Lawsuit Investigation
Attorneys working with ClassAction.org are looking into whether a class action lawsuit can be filed in light of the VisionPoint data breach.
As part of their investigation, they need to hear from individuals who received a notice stating they were impacted.
VisionPoint Eye Center, an eye care practice in Bloomington, Illinois, recently reported a data breach affecting 66,926 individuals, including current and former patients. VisionPoint discovered that an unauthorized party had gained access to its network on October 3, 2024 and engaged a forensic firm to investigate. Following a review, VisionPoint determined that the unauthorized party may have gained access to sensitive personal information, including patients' names, medical record numbers, health insurance information and medical information, though not all types of data were impacted for each individual.
Patients whose data may have been exposed in the VisionPoint Eye Center data breach are receiving written notice of the incident.
