Lawsuit Investigation
Attorneys working with ClassAction.org are looking into whether a class action lawsuit can be filed in light of the US Merchants data breach.
As part of their investigation, they need to hear from individuals who received a notice stating they were impacted.
On or around February 13, 2024, an unauthorized third party accessed the network of US Merchants Financial Group, a packaging and containers manufacturer, and acquired certain files. After discovering the breach, US Merchants Financial Group engaged third-party specialists to secure its network and investigate the incident. The investigation, which concluded by August 2, 2024, revealed that the breach potentially exposed sensitive personal information, including names, driver’s license numbers, Alien registration numbers, passport numbers, health information, and Social Security numbers. The extent of the information accessed varied by individual.
Those impacted by the US Merchants Financial Group data breach are being notified via mail.
