United Domestic Workers of America Data Breach:
Lawsuit Investigation
Attorneys working with ClassAction.org are looking into whether a class action lawsuit can be filed in light of the United Domestic Workers of America data breach.
As part of their investigation, they need to hear from individuals who received a notice stating they were impacted.
On January 17, 2025, United Domestic Workers of America, AFSCME Local 3930—a labor union for more than 200,000 home care and child care providers in California—identified an attempted security breach by an unauthorized third party targeting its servers.
In response, United Domestic Workers of America secured its network and launched an investigation with the assistance of independent cybersecurity professionals to uncover the breach's extent. According to a United Domestic Workers of America data breach notice, there is a possibility that some human resources information, such as names, addresses, and Social Security numbers, was exposed, though the investigation is still ongoing.
If your information was exposed in the breach, attorneys want to hear from you. You may be able to start a class action lawsuit to recover compensation for loss of privacy, time spent dealing with the breach, out-of-pocket costs, and more.
A successful case could also force United Domestic Workers of America to ensure it takes proper steps to protect the information it was entrusted with.
