Lawsuit Investigation
Attorneys working with ClassAction.org are looking into whether a class action lawsuit can be filed in light of the Tri Counties Bank data breach.
As part of their investigation, they need to hear from individuals who received a notice stating they were impacted.
Tri Counties Bank recently announced that it became aware of suspicious activity on its computer network around February 7, 2023. An internal investigation found that malware had infected the bank’s internal network, resulting in limited access to certain files. It was also discovered that from February 7 to February 8, an unauthorized individual may have gained access to systems containing personal information.
A review of affected documents, which concluded on October 9, 2023, revealed that personal information, including names, Social Security numbers, driver’s license numbers and financial account information, may have been compromised for customers, employees, affiliates and employees' dependents.
If your information was exposed in the breach, attorneys want to hear from you. You may be able to start a class action lawsuit to recover compensation for loss of privacy, time spent dealing with the breach, out-of-pocket costs, and more.
A successful case could also force Tri Counties Bank to ensure it takes proper steps to protect the information it was entrusted with.
