TRC Data Breach:
Lawsuit Investigation
Attorneys working with ClassAction.org are looking into whether a class action lawsuit can be filed in light of the TRC data breach.
As part of their investigation, they need to hear from individuals who received a notice stating they were impacted.
TRC Staffing Services, Inc., which does business as TRC Talent Solutions, discovered suspicious activity on certain computer systems around April 12, 2024, prompting an investigation and involvement of federal law enforcement. An unknown actor gained access to systems between March 25 and April 12, 2024, potentially acquiring personal information.
On May 9, 2024, TRC identified that the breached data may have contained personal information of 158,593 TRC employees, including names and Social Security numbers. Affected individuals are now receiving written notice of the TRC data breach.
If your information was exposed in the breach, attorneys want to hear from you. You may be able to start a class action lawsuit to recover compensation for loss of privacy, time spent dealing with the breach, out-of-pocket costs, and more.
A successful case could also force TRC to ensure it takes proper steps to protect the information it was entrusted with.
