The Tech Interactive, a science and technology center in San Jose, California, detected suspicious activity on its computer network earlier this year. The company initiated an investigation and enlisted third-party forensic experts to analyze the situation. The investigation revealed that an unauthorized individual accessed sections of the network from April 9 to April 13, 2024, and certain files were accessed or obtained by the intruder during this breach.
A review of the affected data concluded on July 9, 2024, revealing that the Tech Interactive data breach exposed at least individuals’ names. The company’s publicly available data breach letter does not specify additional types of compromised information, but personalized letters have been sent to victims detailing the specific data impacted.
