Attorneys working with ClassAction.org are looking into whether a class action lawsuit can be filed in light of the Kendal data breach.
As part of their investigation, they need to hear from individuals who received a notice stating they were impacted.
The Kendal Corporation, a nonprofit organization that manages senior living facilities, detected unusual activity on its computer network in late June 2024 and launched an investigation with external experts. The investigation uncovered that certain files might have been accessed without authorization between June 26 and June 30, 2024.
The nonprofit is sending impacted individuals notification letters detailing the specific sensitive information that may have been compromised. It’s been reported that the Kendal Corporation data breach affected 9,810 individuals, including current and former employees of Kendal and its affiliated communities.
According to a sample data breach letter mailed in early September 2024, the data breach also impacted Kendal at Home members.
