Lawsuit Investigation
Attorneys working with ClassAction.org are looking into whether a class action lawsuit can be filed in light of the Tektronix Inc. data breach.
As part of their investigation, they need to hear from individuals who received a notice stating they were impacted.
In early October 2024, Tektronix announced that it experienced cybersecurity breaches involving two separate unauthorized third parties, leading to unauthorized access to its network between January 25 and November 6, 2023. The unusual activity was detected in October and November 2023, prompting Tektronix to hire external cybersecurity experts for an investigation. A final review confirmed on September 3, 2024 that personal information was present in the files that were viewed or acquired.
A sample letter sent to those impacted by the Tektronix data breach reveals that information exposed may include full names, date of birth, Social Security numbers, driver's license or state ID numbers, passport numbers, birth certificate numbers, credit/debit card numbers, financial account numbers and health insurance information.
Tektronix specializes in the production of test and measurement devices.
