SysInformation Healthcare Services, LLC, which does business as EqualizeRCM and 1st Credentialing and provides revenue cycle and billing services within the healthcare industry, recently reported a data breach involving unauthorized access to its systems. An investigation into the incident determined that certain files and folders containing personal information were accessed between June 3, 2023, and June 18, 2023.
According to a press release about the SysInformation Healthcare Services data breach, the exposed data varied by individual but may have included names, government identification numbers, dates of birth, driver's license numbers, employer ID numbers, electronic signatures, financial account details, health insurance information, medical information, login credentials, mother's maiden name, passport information, Social Security numbers, and tax ID numbers.
SysInformation is reaching out to affected clients and directly notifying individuals whose information may have been compromised, including former and current employees and people associated with the company's clients.
