Singing River Data Breach:
Lawsuit Investigation
Attorneys working with ClassAction.org are looking into whether a class action lawsuit can be filed in light of the Singing River data breach.
As part of their investigation, they need to hear from individuals who received a notice stating they were impacted.
Singing River Health System and its subsidiary, Singing River Gulfport, have experienced a data breach resulting from a ransomware attack. The attack occurred between August 16 and August 18, 2023, when unauthorized access was detected within the Mississippi healthcare system's computer environment. The breach has potentially exposed personal information such as names, dates of birth, addresses, Social Security numbers, and medical and health insurance information.
Singing River reported that it is sending notice of the breach to individuals whose information may have been included in the affected files.
If your information was exposed in the breach, attorneys want to hear from you. You may be able to start a class action lawsuit to recover compensation for loss of privacy, time spent dealing with the breach, out-of-pocket costs, and more.
A successful case could also force Singing River to ensure it takes proper steps to protect the information it was entrusted with.
