Set Forth Data Breach:
Lawsuit Investigation
Attorneys working with ClassAction.org are looking into whether a class action lawsuit can be filed in light of the Set Forth data breach.
As part of their investigation, they need to hear from individuals who received a notice stating they were impacted.
Set Forth, Inc. is notifying consumers of a security breach that may have impacted personal information belonging to its clients and those of its business partner, Centrex Software, Inc. The Set Forth data breach was discovered on May 21, 2024, when suspicious activity was detected on the company's system. An investigation revealed that unauthorized access may have compromised personal information belonging to individuals and their spouses, co-applicants and dependents, including names, addresses, dates of birth, and Social Security numbers.
Set Forth is sending notice to affected individuals, noting that some recipients may get the letter if they were a customer of or have done business with Centrex.
Set Forth provides online account administration services to people enrolled in debt relief programs but also partners with Centrex to provide cloud-based customer relationship management solutions to businesses.
If your information was exposed in the breach, attorneys want to hear from you. You may be able to start a class action lawsuit to recover compensation for loss of privacy, time spent dealing with the breach, out-of-pocket costs, and more.
A successful case could also force Set Forth to ensure it takes proper steps to protect the information it was entrusted with.
