Lawsuit Investigation
Attorneys working with ClassAction.org are looking into whether a class action lawsuit can be filed in light of the SelectBlinds data breach.
As part of their investigation, they need to hear from individuals who received a notice stating they were impacted.
SelectBlinds, an online retailer specializing in custom window coverings, experienced a significant data breach beginning January 7, 2024, when an unauthorized third party embedded malware into the company's website. This malware enabled the unauthorized scraping of data entered on the checkout page, including customers' names, email addresses, shipping and billing addresses, phone numbers, and payment card information such as card numbers, expiration dates, and CVV codes. The breach persisted undetected until September 28, 2024, when SelectBlinds initiated an investigation with external cybersecurity experts, concluding on October 10, 2024.
According to a report submitted to the Maine Attorney General's Office, the SelectBlinds data breach affected 206,238 individuals.
