Select Education Group, which includes Institute of Technology, National Holistic Institute, Bauman College, Fremont University, and Arch USA, recently experienced a data breach where unauthorized access to its computer systems led to the exposure of personal information. The breach occurred around November 5, 2023, affecting 67,097 individuals.
The information that may have been compromised in the Select Education Group data breach included names, Social Security numbers, billing and payment records, and academic records. The company, which operates five colleges in California and Oregon, is working with law enforcement and cybersecurity experts to address the incident and is sending notice to those impacted.
