Saint Xavier University Data Breach:
Lawsuit Investigation
Attorneys working with ClassAction.org are looking into whether a class action lawsuit can be filed in light of the Saint Xavier University data breach.
As part of their investigation, they need to hear from individuals who received a notice stating they were impacted.
In July 2023, the Chicago university identified suspicious activity within its computer systems. An investigation revealed that during the Saint Xavier University data breach, an unauthorized individual downloaded several files from limited systems between June 29 and July 18, 2023.
The compromised files may contain personal information such as names, Social Security numbers, driver’s license or state ID numbers, passport details, financial account and payment card information, medical and biometric data, health insurance details, student ID numbers, dates of birth and account access information.
If your information was exposed in the breach, attorneys want to hear from you. You may be able to start a class action lawsuit to recover compensation for loss of privacy, time spent dealing with the breach, out-of-pocket costs, and more.
A successful case could also force Saint Xavier University to ensure it takes proper steps to protect the information it was entrusted with.
