Rödl & Partner Data Breach:
Lawsuit Investigation
Attorneys working with ClassAction.org are looking into whether a class action lawsuit can be filed in light of the Rödl & Partner data breach.
As part of their investigation, they need to hear from individuals who received a notice stating they were impacted.
Rödl Management, Inc. (Rödl & Partner), a professional services firm that provides accounting, auditing, tax, and business consulting solutions, is notifying individuals whose personal information may have been exposed in a data breach affecting the company's clients. The breach involved unauthorized access to Rödl's network systems from January 30, 2024 to February 9, 2024. Rödl was alerted to suspicious activity on February 9, 2024, and launched an investigation with the help of third-party forensic experts. The investigation revealed that information received from the company's clients was accessed or taken during this period.
A report provided to the Texas Attorney General's Office indicates that names, addresses, Social Security numbers, driver's license and government ID numbers, and financial information may have been compromised in the Rödl Management data breach.
In August 2024, Rödl Management sent notice of the data breach on behalf of two of its clients, Jamestown, L.P. and JT Tax Services L.P., which use the company's program to store tax documents and file tax returns.
If your information was exposed in the breach, attorneys want to hear from you. You may be able to start a class action lawsuit to recover compensation for loss of privacy, time spent dealing with the breach, out-of-pocket costs, and more.
A successful case could also force Rödl & Partner to ensure it takes proper steps to protect the information it was entrusted with.
