Attorneys working with ClassAction.org are looking into whether a class action lawsuit can be filed in light of the RBN Insurance Services data breach.
As part of their investigation, they need to hear from individuals who received a notice stating they were impacted.
RBN and Associates, Inc., which does business as RBN Insurance Services, experienced a significant data breach that was detected on May 15, 2024. According to a letter provided to the Maine Attorney General's Office, unusual activity in an employee's email account led to an investigation that revealed unauthorized access dating back to February 24, 2024.
The investigation, conducted by a third-party cybersecurity firm, confirmed that sensitive information belonging to 10,205 individuals may have been compromised. Information potentially exposed in the RBN Insurance Services data breach includes full names, addresses, dates of birth, payment card information, bank account details, medical and insurance information, and Social Security numbers.
RBN Insurance Services is an insurance broker specializing in the sale and management of property and casualty insurance and employee benefit plans.
