Attorneys working with ClassAction.org are looking into whether a class action lawsuit can be filed in light of the R1 RCM data breach.
As part of their investigation, they need to hear from individuals who received a notice stating they were impacted.
R1 RCM Inc., on behalf of Dignity Health's St. Rose Dominican Hospital de Lima in Henderson, Nevada, reported a data breach that may have led to the exposure of the sensitive personal health information of 16,121 individuals associated with the hospital.
According to a data breach notice sent to affected individuals by R1, which provides revenue cycle management services within the healthcare industry, the company discovered on November 17, 2023 that an unauthorized party was in possession of sensitive health data associated with Dignity Health. Following an analysis, it was revealed that the data potentially compromised in the R1 data breach included names, contact information, dates of birth, Social Security numbers, location of services, clinical/diagnosis details, and patient account/medical record numbers.
