Prime Healthcare has reported to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services that 101,135 individuals may have had their private information exposed in a data breach affecting Keenan & Associates.
Keenan & Associates, the third-party administrator of Prime Healthcare's employee benefit health plan, experienced a data breach back in August 2023. Months later, Prime was notified that the data breach may have compromised the personal and medical information of Prime Healthcare benefit plan members. Data potentially exposed in the incident includes names, birth dates, Social Security numbers, passport numbers, driver's license numbers, health insurance details, and medical information, such as diagnoses and treatment information.
