Premium Mortgage Corporation Data Breach:
Lawsuit Investigation
Attorneys working with ClassAction.org are looking into whether a class action lawsuit can be filed in light of the Premium Mortgage Corporation data breach.
As part of their investigation, they need to hear from individuals who received a notice stating they were impacted.
Around August 31, 2023, Premium Mortgage Corporation identified unusual activity on certain parts of its computer system. An investigation was initiated to understand the extent and nature of the activity. Subsequently, it was established that certain Premium Mortgage Corporation business email accounts had been accessed without authorization between August 24 and August 31, 2023.
A review of the data within the email accounts was undertaken to determine the information accessible to the unauthorized actor and the individuals to whom that information pertained. On November 29, 2023, it was confirmed that some personal information, including names, Social Security numbers and financial information, was present in the impacted accounts. More than 10,000 individuals are reportedly affected and should receive a notice regarding the data breach.
If your information was exposed in the breach, attorneys want to hear from you. You may be able to start a class action lawsuit to recover compensation for loss of privacy, time spent dealing with the breach, out-of-pocket costs, and more.
A successful case could also force Premium Mortgage Corporation to ensure it takes proper steps to protect the information it was entrusted with.
