Panda Restaurant Group Data Breach:
Lawsuit Investigation
Attorneys working with ClassAction.org are looking into whether a class action lawsuit can be filed in light of the Panda Restaurant Group data breach.
As part of their investigation, they need to hear from individuals who received a notice stating they were impacted.
Panda Restaurant Group, Inc., operator of Panda Express, Panda Inn and Hibachi-San, disclosed a data breach affecting 239,815 individuals. Following an investigation, the company determined that an unauthorized party accessed certain corporate systems between March 7 and March 11, 2024.
In a statement to BleepingComputer.com, a company spokesperson said the Panda Restaurant Group data breach solely impacted current and former associate data, not guest information. According to a report provided to the Texas attorney general, the compromised information may have included names, Social Security numbers, driver's license or government-issued ID numbers, financial information, health insurance details, medical information and dates of birth.
If your information was exposed in the breach, attorneys want to hear from you. You may be able to start a class action lawsuit to recover compensation for loss of privacy, time spent dealing with the breach, out-of-pocket costs, and more.
A successful case could also force Panda Restaurant Group to ensure it takes proper steps to protect the information it was entrusted with.
