The breach involved unauthorized access to certain ORU systems, during which data was taken over a three-day period from December 15 to December 17, 2024.
The information compromised in the Oral Roberts University data breach included personal details such as names and Social Security numbers. The school acted to secure its network and launched an investigation to understand the extent of the breach. On February 19, 2025, ORU notified impacted individuals via mail about the incident and the exposure of their sensitive information.
