Olinsky Law Group Data Breach:
Lawsuit Investigation
Attorneys working with ClassAction.org are looking into whether a class action lawsuit can be filed in light of the Olinsky Law Group data breach.
As part of their investigation, they need to hear from individuals who received a notice stating they were impacted.
On December 17, 2024, Olinsky & Associates, PLLC, a national disability law firm that also goes by the name Olinsky Law Group, experienced a cyberattack compromising some personal information. The incident was discovered on January 28, 2025, with an investigation determining that unauthorized actors infiltrated the firm's electronic systems through a phishing attack. Although the firm's network remained largely secure, certain files on a shared drive were accessed.
Olinsky Law Group sent emails to "all conceivably impacted individuals" on January 30, 2025, but later learned that only a small subset of client data had been compromised. Letters are now being mailed to individuals whose information was potentially exposed in the Olinsky & Associates data breach.
A review completed in early February 2025 found that Social Security numbers, account information, medical records, financial details and disability payment information were among the data exposed; however, Olinsky Law Group reported that some of the compromised data, such as bank account numbers and Social Security numbers, were truncated.
If your information was exposed in the breach, attorneys want to hear from you. You may be able to start a class action lawsuit to recover compensation for loss of privacy, time spent dealing with the breach, out-of-pocket costs, and more.
A successful case could also force Olinsky Law Group to ensure it takes proper steps to protect the information it was entrusted with.
