OE Federal Credit Union Data Breach:
Lawsuit Investigation
Attorneys working with ClassAction.org are looking into whether a class action lawsuit can be filed in light of the OE Federal Credit Union data breach.
As part of their investigation, they need to hear from individuals who received a notice stating they were impacted.
A recently announced security breach at OE Federal Credit Union resulted in unauthorized access to its network, potentially exposing personal information of individuals. The breach occurred between August 19, 2023 and October 29, 2023, according to a letter sent to those affected.
A notice posted on the credit union's website states that various personal, financial and medical information may have been exposed in the OE Federal Credit Union data breach, though not all information was impacted for all individuals. The compromised information may include names, Social Security numbers, dates of birth, financial account information, credit/debit card details, taxpayer ID numbers, driver's license or government ID numbers, usernames and passwords, passport numbers, medical information, and health insurance information.
If your information was exposed in the breach, attorneys want to hear from you. You may be able to start a class action lawsuit to recover compensation for loss of privacy, time spent dealing with the breach, out-of-pocket costs, and more.
A successful case could also force OE Federal Credit Union to ensure it takes proper steps to protect the information it was entrusted with.
