Numotion Data Breach:
Lawsuit Investigation
Attorneys working with ClassAction.org are looking into whether a class action lawsuit can be filed in light of the Numotion data breach.
As part of their investigation, they need to hear from individuals who received a notice stating they were impacted.
United Seating and Mobility, LLC, a mobility products supplier that does business as Numotion, recently discovered that unauthorized access had occurred to some employee email accounts on several occasions between September 2, 2024 and November 18, 2024. In response, Numotion conducted a review of the affected accounts, determining on January 22, 2025 that the emails potentially accessed contained personal information such as names, dates of birth, product information, payment and financial account details, health insurance and medical information, and for some individuals, Social Security numbers and driver's license numbers.
A report provided to the Texas Attorney General's Office indicates that addresses may have also been exposed in the Numotion data breach.
The company has sent letters to individuals affected by the breach, which appears to be separate from another data breach incident that occurred earlier in 2024.
If your information was exposed in the breach, attorneys want to hear from you. You may be able to start a class action lawsuit to recover compensation for loss of privacy, time spent dealing with the breach, out-of-pocket costs, and more.
A successful case could also force Numotion to ensure it takes proper steps to protect the information it was entrusted with.
