Lawsuit Investigation
Attorneys working with ClassAction.org are looking into whether a class action lawsuit can be filed in light of the New York School of Interior Design data breach.
As part of their investigation, they need to hear from individuals who received a notice stating they were impacted.
On November 27, 2023, the New York School of Interior Design identified suspicious activity on its network. An investigation revealed unauthorized access by an unknown entity between November 2 and November 26, 2023, affecting certain files and systems. The school then worked to identify the compromised information, ascertain the individuals impacted and determine their addresses. It has been reported that 18,491 individuals are affected and are now being sent letters via mail.
According to a report submitted to the Texas Attorney General's office, the New York School of Interior Design data breach exposed information including names, Social Security numbers, driver's license numbers, government-issued ID numbers, financial information, medical information, and health insurance information.
