medQ Data Breach:
Lawsuit Investigation
Attorneys working with ClassAction.org are looking into whether a class action lawsuit can be filed in light of the medQ data breach.
As part of their investigation, they need to hear from individuals who received a notice stating they were impacted.
MedQ, Inc., a provider of imaging workflow software to medical practices across the country, recently experienced a data breach that compromised the information of more than 54,000 individuals. The breach, discovered on December 26, 2023, involved unauthorized access to servers used by the company's software platform. Files were copied by the unauthorized party between December 20 and 26, 2023, potentially exposing sensitive information. This data may include full names, Social Security numbers, driver's license numbers, birth dates, health insurance and claims information, and medical information such as lab results, medications, diagnoses, treatment information and provider names.
If your information was exposed in the breach, attorneys want to hear from you. You may be able to start a class action lawsuit to recover compensation for loss of privacy, time spent dealing with the breach, out-of-pocket costs, and more.
A successful case could also force medQ to ensure it takes proper steps to protect the information it was entrusted with.
