MD Now Data Breach:
Lawsuit Investigation
Attorneys working with ClassAction.org are looking into whether a class action lawsuit can be filed in light of the MD Now data breach.
As part of their investigation, they need to hear from individuals who received a notice stating they were impacted.
MD Now Medical Centers, Inc., also known as MD Now Urgent Care, has revealed a significant cybersecurity breach impacting one of its IT systems.
According to a notice posted to the Florida healthcare provider's website, an investigation uncovered that an unauthorized individual gained access to the system in early May and extracted various documents. These included patient discharge and prescription forms from visits before August 2023, as well as sensitive information pertaining to current and former MD Now employees, their dependents, and beneficiaries, including onboarding and termination documents.
According to a report provided to the Texas Attorney General's office, the MD Now data breach exposed names, dates of birth, Social Security numbers, driver's license numbers, government-issued ID numbers, financial information, medical information, and health insurance information.
If your information was exposed in the breach, attorneys want to hear from you. You may be able to start a class action lawsuit to recover compensation for loss of privacy, time spent dealing with the breach, out-of-pocket costs, and more.
A successful case could also force MD Now to ensure it takes proper steps to protect the information it was entrusted with.
