Lawsuit Investigation
Attorneys working with ClassAction.org are looking into whether a class action lawsuit can be filed in light of the Life360 data breach.
As part of their investigation, they need to hear from individuals who received a notice stating they were impacted.
More than 400,000 users of Life360, a family social networking and location sharing app, have had their personal information leaked on the dark web following a data breach, reports say.
According to TechRadar.com, an individual using the handle "emo" posted on a hacking forum a database containing the names, phone numbers and email addresses of 442,519 people. BleepingComputer.com says it confirmed the data belongs to Life360 customers after "verifying multiple entries."
The hacker who posted on the forum said they were not the ones responsible for the breach, which is reported to have taken place in March 2024 and occurred after a flaw in Life360's login API was exploited.
