As part of their investigation, they need to hear from individuals who received a notice stating they were impacted.
On August 8, 2024, KMAM Management LLC, which operates car dealerships as Karl Malone Auto Group, detected unauthorized access that compromised its computer network, prompting action to secure its systems and engage forensic specialists to investigate the breach. The investigation revealed that an unauthorized actor had accessed certain files and data. On March 31, 2025, KMAM Management began notifying affected individuals via mail about the security incident.
A report provided to the Massachusetts Office of Consumer Affairs and Business Regulation indicates that Social Security numbers and driver's licenses were exposed in the KMAM Management data breach.
