Attorneys working with ClassAction.org are looking into whether a class action lawsuit can be filed in light of the Kitsap Mental Health Services data breach.

As part of their investigation, they need to hear from individuals who received a notice stating they were impacted.

On October 17, 2024, Kitsap Mental Health Services discovered suspicious activity within its business network during routine system monitoring. The nonprofit community mental health center, based in Washington state, has initiated an investigation to determine which individual data might have been affected. Preliminary findings indicate that an unauthorized person accessed some systems on September 17, 2024, and between October 8 and October 19, 2024.

Possible compromised information includes names, addresses, birth dates, Social Security numbers, driver’s license or state ID numbers, medical details, medications, claims and financial information, and data related to health care services.

As the investigation proceeds, the identities of those affected by the Kitsap Mental Health Services data breach remain undetermined. The nonprofit has issued an online notice to potentially impacted individuals.
