Keenan & Associates Data Breach:
Lawsuit Investigation
Attorneys working with ClassAction.org are looking into whether a class action lawsuit can be filed in light of the Keenan & Associates data breach.
As part of their investigation, they need to hear from individuals who received a notice stating they were impacted.
Insurance consulting and brokerage firm Keenan & Associates recently reported that it was the victim of a ransomware attack during which employees' personal information was stolen.
On August 27, 2023, Keenan discovered disruptions on its network servers and, following an investigation, determined that an unauthorized party had gained access to its systems at various times between August 21 and August 27, 2023.
The information exposed during the incident may have contained employees' names, Social Security numbers, driver's license numbers, passport numbers, health information, health insurance details and other employment-related information.
Keenan has notified affected individuals via letters dated December 12, 2023.
If your information was exposed in the breach, attorneys want to hear from you. You may be able to start a class action lawsuit to recover compensation for loss of privacy, time spent dealing with the breach, out-of-pocket costs, and more.
A successful case could also force Keenan & Associates to ensure it takes proper steps to protect the information it was entrusted with.
