Jason's Deli Data Breach:
Lawsuit Investigation
Attorneys working with ClassAction.org are looking into whether a class action lawsuit can be filed in light of the Jason's Deli data breach.
As part of their investigation, they need to hear from individuals who received a notice stating they were impacted.
More than 344,000 Jason's Deli customers may have had their personal information exposed in a late 2023 security incident involving credential stuffing.
On December 21, 2023, Jason's Deli discovered that an unauthorized party had obtained Deli Dollar and online account login credentials (i.e., usernames and passwords), likely sourced from other data breaches or unrelated sources. These credentials were then used to check for matches with Jason's Deli reward and online accounts. It is believed that if individuals used the same username and password combination for their Jason's Deli account as they did for other compromised accounts in the past, it could have allowed the unauthorized party access to their Jason's Deli account and information contained therein. While the exact number of accounts accessed is unknown, notice is being sent to all potentially affected individuals.
Account details that may have been accessed by the unauthorized party include names, addresses (including saved delivery addresses), phone numbers, birthdays, contact lists, house account numbers, and the last four digits of payment/gift card numbers.
If your information was exposed in the breach, attorneys want to hear from you. You may be able to start a class action lawsuit to recover compensation for loss of privacy, time spent dealing with the breach, out-of-pocket costs, and more.
A successful case could also force Jason's Deli to ensure it takes proper steps to protect the information it was entrusted with.
