Elite Plastic Surgery Data Breach:
Lawsuit Investigation
Attorneys working with ClassAction.org are looking into whether a class action lawsuit can be filed in light of the Elite Plastic Surgery data breach.
As part of their investigation, they need to hear from individuals who received a notice stating they were impacted.
Hand & Plastic Surgery Centre, PLC, a medical practice in Grand Rapids, Michigan that does business as Elite Plastic Surgery, recently reported a data breach that affected 19,846 individuals. On January 29, 2025, Elite Plastic Surgery detected that an unauthorized third party attempted to access its computer network. The breach was addressed and investigated with the aid of independent IT security and forensic experts.
The investigation revealed that the Elite Plastic Surgery data breach may have exposed certain personal information, including names, birth dates, Social Security numbers, health insurance details, and protected health information, although not every affected individual had all these data elements exposed.
Elite Plastic Surgery is mailing letters to affected individuals.
If your information was exposed in the breach, attorneys want to hear from you. You may be able to start a class action lawsuit to recover compensation for loss of privacy, time spent dealing with the breach, out-of-pocket costs, and more.
A successful case could also force Elite Plastic Surgery to ensure it takes proper steps to protect the information it was entrusted with.
