First Choice Dental Data Breach

Attorneys working with ClassAction.org are looking into whether a class action lawsuit can be filed in light of the First Choice Dental data breach.

As part of their investigation, they need to hear from individuals who received a notice stating they were impacted.

Wisconsin dental practice FCDG Management, LLC, which does business as First Choice Dental, has reported a data security breach following a ransomware attack detected on October 22, 2023. The unauthorized actor accessed and encrypted First Choice Dental’s data in an extortion attempt. Upon discovering the breach, First Choice Dental cut network access and hired cybersecurity experts to secure their systems and investigate. The investigation revealed that personal information, including names, dates of birth, Social Security numbers, passport numbers, driver's license numbers, government ID numbers, credit/debit card numbers, financial account numbers, and health information, might have been accessed in the First Choice Dental data breach, which reportedly affected 228,287 individuals.

First Choice Dental began sending personalized notification letters to affected individuals on July 12, 2024, specifying which data categories were affected for each individual.
