Attorneys working with ClassAction.org are looking into whether a class action lawsuit can be filed in light of the Exeter Finance data breach.
As part of their investigation, they need to hear from individuals who received a notice stating they were impacted.
Exeter Finance, LLC, a lending company in the auto industry, has recently reported a data breach that may have exposed sensitive personal information.
According to a report submitted to the Oregon Attorney General's office, the breach occurred from February 14, 2024 to February 26, 2024, when it was discovered. The report also indicated that individuals previously received notice of the security incident in April, May and August 2024.
A report provided to the Texas Attorney General's Office indicates that the Exeter Finance data breach may have exposed names, addresses, dates of birth, Social Security numbers, driver's license numbers and financial information.
