Eastern Radiologists, Inc. recently discovered a security breach that reportedly exposed the sensitive information of 886,746 patients. The incident occurred between November 20, 2023 and November 24, 2023, when an unauthorized party accessed and potentially copied various documents containing patient data such as names, contact information, Social Security numbers, insurance details, and medical information. Affected patients are being notified and provided with further information about the breach.
Eastern Radiologists serves 17 hospitals, seven outpatient centers and 86 points of care in North Carolina, according to its website.
