DRH Health Data Breach: Lawsuit Investigation
Attorneys working with ClassAction.org are looking into whether a class action lawsuit can be filed in light of the data breach affecting DRH Health.
As part of their investigation, they need to hear from individuals who received a notice stating they were impacted.
DRH Health Security Incident: What Happened?
On April 25, 2025, DRH Health announced that a data security incident at its third-party vendor, Nationwide Recovery Services, Inc. (NRS), may have exposed certain individuals' personal information.
The incident occurred when an unknown actor accessed Nationwide Recovery Services' network from July 5 to July 11, 2024, copying files from one system. Nationwide Recovery Services informed DRH Health on February 14, 2025 that the security breach may have affected its patients. DRH Health conducted a review to identify affected individuals and locate their address details, completing this process on March 28, 2025.
Information potentially compromised in the data breach affecting DRH Health includes names, addresses, Social Security numbers, birth dates, financial account details, and medical-related information, though the exact information involved for each person couldn't be specified.
DRH Health, which operates Duncan Regional Hospital, Jefferson County Hospital and 20 provider clinics in Oklahoma, is mailing notification letters to those whose information was compromised, provided valid addresses are available.
What You Can Do
If your information was exposed in the data breach, attorneys want to hear from you. You may be able to start a class action lawsuit to recover compensation for loss of privacy, time spent dealing with the breach, out-of-pocket costs, and more.
A successful case could also force DRH Health to ensure it takes proper steps to protect the information it was entrusted with.
