Delmar International (N.Y.) Inc. has announced a data breach impacting its employees, including by notifying the Massachusetts Attorney General's Office of the incident.
The breach was identified on November 14, 2024 when the company detected unusual activity within its network systems. Delmar, which provides freight and logistics services, implemented security measures and enlisted cybersecurity experts to investigate the situation.
Preliminary findings suggest that a third party may have accessed and compromised sensitive data belonging to U.S. Delmar employees. Potentially affected information includes personal details such as phone numbers, addresses, email addresses, Social Security numbers, dates of birth, and payroll-related information. Reports suggest that the Delmar data breach was the result of a ransomware attack carried out by hacker group Rhysida.
