Lawsuit Investigation
Attorneys working with ClassAction.org are looking into whether a class action lawsuit can be filed in light of the Crimson Wine Group data breach.
As part of their investigation, they need to hear from individuals who received a notice stating they were impacted.
Crimson Wine Group has reported a significant cybersecurity breach, with unauthorized access to its network occurring between June 26 and June 30, 2024. The company, which operates over 1,000 acres of vineyards and wineries across California, Oregon, and Washington, launched an investigation upon discovering the incident on June 30.
Crimson, around July 15, 2024, discovered that sensitive personal data might have been compromised. In response, Crimson began issuing notifications on August 19, 2024 to the first group of affected individuals.
By November 8, 2024, however, Crimson identified additional individuals whose personal data, potentially including names, financial account information, and payment card details, may have been exposed to unauthorized access.
According to the Maine Attorney General's Office, 26,238 people are affected by the Crimson Wine Group data breach.
