Lawsuit Investigation
Attorneys working with ClassAction.org are looking into whether a class action lawsuit can be filed in light of the Cornerstone Healthcare Group data breach.
As part of their investigation, they need to hear from individuals who received a notice stating they were impacted.
Cornerstone Healthcare Group Management Services, LLC, which provides long-term acute care, senior living and behavioral health services, announced a data security breach involving unauthorized access to its systems and data, which was detected in mid-December 2023. The breach was confirmed to have occurred on December 19, 2023 and targeted data linked to healthcare facilities supported by Cornerstone.
Following an investigation, it was confirmed by May 30, 2024 that the Cornerstone Healthcare Group data breach may have exposed personal information. The compromised data varied by individual but could include sensitive details such as names, Social Security numbers, dates of birth, government ID numbers, financial information, email and login credentials, passport numbers, medical and health-related data and more.
Cornerstone reported the data breach to several state attorneys general beginning in July 2024 and notified at least two others in November.
