Lawsuit Investigation
Attorneys working with ClassAction.org are looking into whether a class action lawsuit can be filed in light of the Brownell Travel data breach.
As part of their investigation, they need to hear from individuals who received a notice stating they were impacted.
Brownell Travel, Inc., a Birmingham, Alabama-based travel agency, has announced a security breach that may have compromised certain customer information.
Late last year, suspicious activity was detected on some of the company’s computer systems. An investigation was launched to secure the systems, restore operations, and assess the data impact. The incident was also reported to federal law enforcement. It was determined that an unidentified actor accessed specific systems and viewed or downloaded data between November 10 and November 26, 2023.
The investigation also revealed that the Brownell Travel data breach exposed at least individuals’ names. Although the company’s publicly available data breach letter does not specify other types of leaked information, personalized letters have been sent to inform victims which of their data was affected.
