Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona Data Breach:
Lawsuit Investigation
Attorneys working with ClassAction.org are looking into whether a class action lawsuit can be filed in light of the Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona data breach.
As part of their investigation, they need to hear from individuals who received a notice stating they were impacted.
On August 17, 2023, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona (AZ Blue) reported that 47,485 people were affected by a data breach that impacted TMG Health, a company that provides data services to the insurer. According to a data breach notice on AZ Blue’s website, the data downloaded during the attack — which TMG Health discovered on June 21, 2023 — may have included AZ Blue members’ names, member IDs, addresses, email addresses, phone numbers, dates of birth, Social Security numbers and banking information.
If your information was exposed in the breach, attorneys want to hear from you. You may be able to start a class action lawsuit to recover compensation for loss of privacy, time spent dealing with the breach, out-of-pocket costs, and more.
A successful case could also force Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona to ensure it takes proper steps to protect the information it was entrusted with.
