BHI Energy Data Breach:
Lawsuit Investigation
Attorneys working with ClassAction.org are looking into whether a class action lawsuit can be filed in light of the BHI Energy data breach.
As part of their investigation, they need to hear from individuals who received a notice stating they were impacted.
In June 2023, BHI discovered unauthorized access to certain systems hosted on its network. After an investigation, the company determined that certain business records, which included personally identifiable information, had been accessed without authorization. On October 4, 2023, the individuals affected by this breach were identified.
The breach at BHI Energy I Specialty Services LLC, based in Massachusetts, was reported on October 18, 2023 and affected a total of 91,269 individuals. The information compromised included names, addresses, Social Security numbers, medical information, health insurance information and dates of birth.
If your information was exposed in the breach, attorneys want to hear from you. You may be able to start a class action lawsuit to recover compensation for loss of privacy, time spent dealing with the breach, out-of-pocket costs, and more.
A successful case could also force BHI Energy to ensure it takes proper steps to protect the information it was entrusted with.
