Baxter Data Breach:
Lawsuit Investigation
Attorneys working with ClassAction.org are looking into whether a class action lawsuit can be filed in light of the Baxter data breach.
As part of their investigation, they need to hear from individuals who received a notice stating they were impacted.
Baxter International Inc., an Illinois-based healthcare company, recently disclosed that a data security incident compromised personal information within its network. The company discovered on June 10, 2024 that an unauthorized third party had downloaded specific files containing private details. According to Baxter's data breach notice, an investigation into the incident has concluded, and the situation has been contained.
It's been reported to the Texas Attorney General's office that the Baxter International data breach exposed individuals' names, addresses, medical information, dates of birth and other personal details.
If your information was exposed in the breach, attorneys want to hear from you. You may be able to start a class action lawsuit to recover compensation for loss of privacy, time spent dealing with the breach, out-of-pocket costs, and more.
A successful case could also force Baxter to ensure it takes proper steps to protect the information it was entrusted with.
