Bakersfield Rehabilitation Hospital disclosed a data breach during which an unauthorized party accessed its IT network between January 16, 2024 and February 4, 2024. According to an online notice, the Bakersfield Rehabilitation Hospital data breach exposed personal information of certain patients, including names, addresses, dates of birth, medical record numbers, health insurance plan member IDs, claims data, diagnoses, prescription information, and for some, Social Security and driver's license numbers.
The Southern California hospital is notifying affected patients through letters sent out starting on March 29, 2024.
