Arisa Health Data Breach:
Lawsuit Investigation
Attorneys working with ClassAction.org are looking into whether a class action lawsuit can be filed in light of the Arisa Health data breach.
As part of their investigation, they need to hear from individuals who received a notice stating they were impacted.
Arisa Health reported a cybersecurity breach occurring around March 18, 2024, which disrupted network connectivity. An investigation was undertaken with external cybersecurity experts and revealed that from March 1 to March 18, 2024, certain files containing personal data might have been accessed or acquired without authorization.
Information compromised in the Arisa Health data breach could include full names, addresses, dates of birth, email addresses, Social Security numbers, medical record numbers, health insurance or member ID numbers, substance abuse program certification, medical histories, diagnoses, and driver’s license numbers.
Arisa Health, which offers mental health and substance abuse recovery services in Arkansas, began notifying affected individuals on July 19, 2024. Both the company's website notice and the letter sent to affected individuals (seen below) notes that Arisa Health has multiple subsidiaries, including Counseling Associates, Inc.; Northeast Arkansas Community Mental Health Center d/b/a Mid-South Health Systems; Ozark Guidance Center, Inc.; and Professional Counseling Associates. Inc.
If your information was exposed in the breach, attorneys want to hear from you. You may be able to start a class action lawsuit to recover compensation for loss of privacy, time spent dealing with the breach, out-of-pocket costs, and more.
A successful case could also force Arisa Health to ensure it takes proper steps to protect the information it was entrusted with.
