Lawsuit Investigation
Attorneys working with ClassAction.org are looking into whether a class action lawsuit can be filed in light of the Arden Claims Service data breach.
As part of their investigation, they need to hear from individuals who received a notice stating they were impacted.
Arden Claims Service, a class action settlement administrator, detected unusual activity in one of its email accounts around October 17, 2023. Steps were taken to secure the account, and cybersecurity experts were brought in to investigate. The investigation revealed that an unauthorized actor had accessed certain data around October 3, 2023. A review of the affected data concluded on August 6, 2024, identifying that some personal information was compromised. Arden Claims Service has since notified those affected by the breach.
According to a report submitted to the Texas Attorney General’s Office, the Arden Claims Service data breach may have exposed consumers’ names, addresses and Social Security numbers. The company has also reported that 138,890 individuals were impacted.
