Americold Data Breach:
Lawsuit Investigation
Attorneys working with ClassAction.org are looking into whether a class action lawsuit can be filed in light of the Americold data breach.
As part of their investigation, they need to hear from individuals who received a notice stating they were impacted.
Americold Logistics LLC detected a cybersecurity incident on April 26, 2023 that involved the deployment of malware on certain systems. After an investigation, it was determined that an unauthorized party had removed some data from the network. A comprehensive data analysis was completed on November 8, 2023, which revealed that personal information belonging to over 129,600 individuals, including Americold employees and their dependents, may have been compromised.
The affected personal information may have included names, addresses, Social Security numbers, driver's license or state ID numbers, passport numbers, financial account information, and employment-related health insurance and medical information, though the exposed information varied by individual.
If your information was exposed in the breach, attorneys want to hear from you. You may be able to start a class action lawsuit to recover compensation for loss of privacy, time spent dealing with the breach, out-of-pocket costs, and more.
A successful case could also force Americold to ensure it takes proper steps to protect the information it was entrusted with.
