AllTrust Data Breach:
Lawsuit Investigation
Attorneys working with ClassAction.org are looking into whether a class action lawsuit can be filed in light of the AllTrust data breach.
As part of their investigation, they need to hear from individuals who received a notice stating they were impacted.
Valsoft Corporation Inc., which acquires and grows vertical software businesses and operates as AllTrust, has reported a data security incident that may have exposed the personal information of certain individuals.
On February 14, 2024, AllTrust became aware of unusual activity on a non-production computer network managed by subsidiary Aspire USA, LLC. The internal security team halted an unauthorized file transfer in progress, and an investigation was launched with third-party cybersecurity experts. The investigation revealed that the data breach occurred between February 12 and February 15, 2024, during which an unauthorized actor accessed the network and extracted certain files; however, it could not be ascertained precisely which files were accessed or stolen.
Consequently, Aspire conducted a review of the affected systems to identify whether sensitive information was present. The review confirmed that data related to certain individuals, including names, Social Security numbers, driver's license numbers and potentially other government-issued ID numbers, and financial account information, may have been exposed. Subsequently, AllTrust conducted a more detailed internal review of the files to identify and notify the potentially affected individuals and AllTrust customers.
If your information was exposed in the breach, attorneys want to hear from you. You may be able to start a class action lawsuit to recover compensation for loss of privacy, time spent dealing with the breach, out-of-pocket costs, and more.
A successful case could also force AllTrust to ensure it takes proper steps to protect the information it was entrusted with.
