Allegheny Health Network Data Breach:
Lawsuit Investigation
Attorneys working with ClassAction.org are looking into whether a class action lawsuit can be filed in light of the data breach impacting Allegheny Health Network.
As part of their investigation, they need to hear from individuals who received a notice stating they were affected, as well as those who were home medical equipment or home infusion patients of Allegheny Health Network.
Allegheny Health Network (AHN) has reported a data breach involving its IT vendor IntraSystems, LLC, which managed systems for AHN's Home Medical Equipment and Home Infusion services. The unauthorized access began on October 11, 2024, and AHN learned of the breach on November 19, 2024.
The data breach involved personal information of 293,900 patients who received home medical equipment or home infusion services, including their names, dates of birth, addresses, Social Security numbers, financial account numbers, health insurance details, and treatment-related information such as diagnoses and prescription data.
IntraSystems is sending notice of the breach to affected patients.
If your information was exposed in the breach, attorneys want to hear from you. You may be able to start a class action lawsuit to recover compensation for loss of privacy, time spent dealing with the breach, out-of-pocket costs, and more.
A successful case could also force Allegheny Health Network to ensure it takes proper steps to protect the information it was entrusted with.
